This is a bad picture after a whole day and maybe the pants make my hips wider than they are, but I was pretty happy with the blend colors. It was a hot and humid day. I love linens for such days!
A pretty important meeting on a hot day. Linen pants and jacket was to my rescue! I felt cool and appropriate all day.
How do you like linens in summer for business wear? Sure they get wrinkled more than other fabrics, but nothing beats the comfort of them for me. This is a different white blazer than the one I wore on the flight yesterday. I try to keep some of the formal wear clean for meetings so wouldn't wear it while traveling.
This was my flying outfit today. Short flight so the heels were perfectly comfortable and they saved me some luggage space in my carry on. I have a few days of meetings around here this week. It was cool in Amsterdam and hot in here which caused me major dilemma when packing. I was able to solve it with packing some layer-able linen clothes.
Another week started! This is my last hardworking week before a semi-vacation starts. Wish you all a great week!
This is a dress that I bought to wear around the house, but then I thought it was too cute just to wear at home. I had facial and massage treatment data with a skin therapist friend in Amsterdam followed dinner and movies. My skin felt great, the food was yummy, the movie was fun (SATC-2) and I felt actually stylish and warm in a simple dress and sandals combo on a rainy day.
I doubled on the animal print accessories to add visual interest and fun! ;-)
Another working from home day followed by a great dinner party and company. So happy to be back in The Netherlands.
Leggings and sandals are my summer casual formula. I wouldn't wear them to work, but love the comfort of them in everyday life.
I'm going to Antwerp in Belgium to see my friend Inge. We met on the YLF Forum last year and became good friends. Another reason why YLF is the best fashion forum to be on. You meet great friends and Angie is a delight always! Get yourself there if you like meeting interesting ladies from all walks of life, cultures and interests in addition to learning about timeless style and current fashion. The geek in me has to mention the unbeatable and wonderful forum interface that only keeps improving.
Have a wonderful weekend!
My Brother-In-Law lives in a houseboat and his little boat is always docked in front of his house. With the famous De Gooyer Windmill in the view, it lends itself to great photos of ducks, swans, Ollie the dog, and of course family. As expected, I have my camera handy at all times! This time he helped me to get some blog pictures. I needed his help because I'm too scared to set up a tripod on top of the canal! :-)
The weather is so good today and I'm working at home watching all kinds of boats go by, feeding neighboring ducks families some old bread and enjoying the best day since I've been here. Life is amazing when the sun shines, isn't it?
Thanks to the good weather, I was able to wear my sandal booties, one of my summer favorites since last year. Pants and dress are the one that I linked on the side. They had these pants in the light khaki color alternative last fall so I got it then. Now they only have it in black and white. I like the fit and comfort so I recommend it. And the dress is a lot of fun with the adjustable ruching on the sides.
Belting this sweater vest and wearing it on top of a button down shirt gave it structure and made it workshop appropriate. I put an unbelted shot next to it to show the difference. Do you agree?
It is not as strong as the blazer look for such an event, but I only had room for one blazer in my luggage and I opted for a white one. I find it too risky to wear white for a rainy day so changed the outfit idea in my mind to this more practical one. It also gave me warmth all day in the cool meeting room temperatures. I was happy with it in the end.
