Scarf Challenge: Day 1

This was the first day of my scarf challenge. Over the next couple of week, I'll be wearing a scarf every day until I go through all my scarfs. It is a good time to do this since I can use both heavy and light-weight scarfs depending on the weather.

The reason for the challenge is simple. I have too many scarfs and I don't make enough use of them. Even after huge scarf reduction last year when I gave away a bunch of them, I a drawer full of scarfs. Not surprising when I think my late Mother had a similar scarf drawer, in her case, along with a lot of flower pins.

I don't think it will be hard to accomplish this. I'll go about my regular ways of dressing except that I will have to think consider colors a lot more and maybe will skip necklaces most of the time. Along the way, I will probably consider new knots, alternative ways to wear scarfs and new give away items. I might even give away some of the less used ones through the blog. I'll just start the challenge and let it flow on its own.

And by all means, if you'd like to play with me on this, please add yourselves in the comments and I'll make a summary of everyone's scarf posts weekly.

I'm excited!

Love it! Scarves are so incredibly versatile. Depending on weight, length, etc., I've used mine to tie in my hair, as headbands, as belts, accents on purses, and lately with the seasons changing, I've been using them as wraps in lieu of layering pieces.

Thanks tarheelgal! I'd love to see how you use your scarves creatively. Let me know if you'd like to play along. Smiling

Ohh, this is going to be fun! I love that vest, and the scarf emphasizes its unusual cut very nicely.
