Museum Visit on a Rainy Day

The peace sign watch is a gift from husband as he knows how I love the piece sign. The skinny leopard belt and the red bag just made the outfit more fun for me.

What do you think of denim leggings? I like them under tunics normally, but wore it for the first time under the dress instead of brown tights.
It was a rainy day in San Diego. One of the effects of El Nino. Taking advantage of the bad weather, we focused on indoor activities. After a brunch in Little Italy and went to see the Tara Donovan Exhibit at MCASD. This is the first time that so many of her pieces are surveryed in a museum in this form. It was on our list to see for a while and it is amazing. If you live in San Diego, it is a must see. CLICK HERE for more information.

On the weekends, I try to wear what I don't wear to work. I wore the flowy dress as a skirt with denim leggings and added a shell and cardigan for extra warmth. I had a raincoat on top outdoors.

Thanks so much for your helpful comments RE: the oxfords. I think you're right - the gunmetal pair seems easier to pair with the outfits I already wear and is a bit more my style.

I've never thought of wearing denim leggings under a dress (except for a shorter tunic-length dress) but like it a lot here - I think partly because of your awesome boots, and partly because the denim looks so pretty against the brown in your outfit. Maybe I'll try this with some casual dresses too. Great idea!

Hi Kari! Wow, I have a comment. Thank you!

I love your choice with the oxfords and I'm so glad you liked the "jeggings" (that's what they call jean leggings apparently) under the dress. I'm looking forward to seeing you rock it!
