Today was the debut of my new Nicole shoes. I was able to put it together with this closet orphan Asian-inspired jacket. The jacket probably comes out to play couple of times a year, but I think I should wear it more often every time I wear it. One of the reasons for starting to keep track of my daily outfits is to wear everything in my closet, so I really like the fact that I was able to wear this jacket again.
The shoes were comfortable through a whole day at work, mostly sitting and some walking between buildings and to lunch. I wore them with a pair of jeans that I normally wear with flats since I liked the way the heel follows the line of the jeans. I'm not sure if it looked like my jeans were too short in the end, but I was satisfied with the result.
Another out of character thing I did today was wearing grey with brown. This is a recent color combination that recent started good to my eye and I do it quite often.
What do you think? Do you like brown with grey? Do you sometimes intentionally wear short pants so that your shoes can make a statement?
